Make It Monday

Hello!
I haven't blogged in a long while, but I have been very creative, so I need to add lots of pictures!  A most dear friend of mine helped me clean up my studio....which is a gift that cannot possibly be re-payed.  At least I haven't figured out how yet, but I'm still working on it!  Anyway, in case you haven't figured out, I made a BIG mess and it took the work of two to put an end to it!  I have promised myself, NEVER to make that kind of a mess again!
I enjoyed Dawn's Make It Monday and decided to try ribbon folding on my Christmas cards.  WOW!  It added just the right touch!  Thanks, Dawn!
May peace find you in this very busy season; a walk with the dog, sitting gazing at the lighted tree with the lights off, a nice bubble bath or just quite time.

Autumn Day

Bonjour Mes Aimes,

What a glorious day!  The wind is loudly whispering, bordering on imploring one to put on their favorite sweater and jeans, go outside to run, jump and celebrate the day.   All the while the wind whispers in your face and gently tugs you hair in every possible way!  Days like this are the best gifts!

Apple orchard, bike ride, taking the four-legged family member to the beach, pumpkin hunting and mulled cider-that's today!
I have a dear friend who is recovering from a horrible car accident.  She is not able to get outside on her own right now, so this photo is for her.  I'm thinking of you!

Summer Card Camp Week 4

My son has taken to surfing after a birthday present of surfing lessons.  He says we need to move to "Cali" now!

Week III Summer Card Camp 2011

Here is my card for week three, stamped with PTI Mehndi Medallion.  Embossed using Versamark and white embossing powder on Creamy Caramel CS; sponged with Close to Cocoa.  Pure Poppy button and CS.  I layered the Pure Poppy Cs behind the edged Close to Cocoa, so the red hearts would peek out.  Click on card and enlarge it to see it better!

I found these colors to be out of my comfort zone at first, but looking at all the beautiful cards in the gallery, I realized that this weeks color combo is actually lovely!  I have another idea I hope to get stamped with this color combo and post!  Thanks for visiting!

Summer Card Camp Week II

So, here is week two's entry!  I had a lot of fun with these colors!  As you can tell, I was REALLY thinking "ritas"!  The stamp is a Stamping Bella, copics, all paper, inks and dies are Papertrey Ink or Stampin' Up!  Embossing folder is Cuttlebug.

PTI 4th Anniversary Set

In case you haven't figured it out, I'm a goner for anything from Papertrey Ink!  I so wanted to meet All of the PTI folks this summer at CHA, but it wasn't meant to be!  The weekend in Cincinnati sounds like a fantastic time and loads of fun!  I just wasn't able to get my plans in order this time, but next summer (my fingers are crossed) I will so be there!  Need a willing volunteer to help set up, PTI?  Say the word, and I'm there!

Summer Card Camp

My homework is finally done!  Here is my card!  I have to hurry and get it uploaded, so I will be back to tell you all the fine details!  I really had fun with the color combination and plan to "play" with it some more!  Thank you Melissa for such a juicy, happy summer-y stamp set!  Camp is so FUN!

I have to share my pretty tulip and daffodil garden with you!  I wish the colors (flowers) would stay all spring and summer!  I have a really cute model in front of the garden too!  She is waiting for her boy to come home from college and play with her!

Garden Time!

Another of my favorite hobbies is gardening, matters not if it's veggies or flowers!  Flowers are more showy and I'm all about color, however a simple cucumber or sun kissed cherry tomato from the garden has the greatest appeal too!

I planted a TON of tulip and daffodils last fall, I know the squirrels had a few Thanksgiving dinners, you know-where you eat too much!  They didn't get 'em all though!  I don't remember the name of the first daffodil, but I like the blush color of the trumpet!  The second is called Tahiti....need I say more?  I'd love to visit Tahiti!  I have another garden picture to share with a model, but I need to upload it.

Paper Buttons!

This was the card I was trying to find!

HAPPY FOURTH ANNIVERSARY PTI!

I am so excited about the Button Boutique & Bitty Background Blocks set that PTI will have available on February 15th! As you can see, The blue card needs that set! I made these cards and made round Lemon Tart buttons for the centers. I sponged the edges and sewed them on to look like real buttons. The up side is that they could be mailed, because they weren't the bulky real buttons! The down side of this post is that I gave the set of six cards to my Mom without taking a picture. I was inspired by a card that Dawn McVey did with PTI Daily Designs set.
I can't wait to see more over at Nichole's blog; Capture the Moment!

Cupcake Card

Good evening friends!
On this chilly, but no snow falling, New England night, I'm going to tell you a short story.
I have a special, very petite friend who is in first grade. She slipped getting out of the car and bumped her head hard on the door frame. She received a cut above her eye. Upon hearing that my special friend was injured, I knew I had to make a card for her to cheer her up! So here it is!

Morning Star

Hello!
Happy New Year to all!
This card is inspired by a retreat to Swan's Island. The morning star was something that we all saw grace the new day. One person in particular was captivated by God's handiwork and the blessing of a new day, so this card was for her. To recall the sun rise from the ocean bringing the gift of a new day.
